So Abu Dhabi still have entry restrictions . If you have any plan to enter in abu dhabi you need a negative test result of covid-19 test without this test you cant go inside abu dhabi, while coming out from abu dhabi there is no exit restriction
there are two options to do the covid-19 test
PCR Test
The covid 19 PCR test can be done from different locations in UAE. The cost of PCR test is around 375 AED and valid for 48 hours to enter in Abu Dhabi after receiving Test results. This covid-19 PCR test result will be received via SMS or you can use al-hosn mobile app to view the results.
the 48 hours validity is for PCR test only and you can go in/out until its valid. The covid 19 PCR test should be perform out side abu dhabi. If you have plan to enter in abu dhabi.
Some people can perform this test free you can check details on SEHA website for PCR test exceptions. Emaraties, person over 50 , pregnant women are free.
Remember, the covid-19 test should be performed from authorized test center by abu dhabi for abu dhabi entry.
The Test center for PCR can be found on SEHA web site you can book online appointment via website or mobile app and pay online before going there. If you go without appointment they may book for you there also but payment must by by credit card only.
the one center is in al-khawanej inside Last Exit Near by Al-quranic Park Dubai and the other one is in Sharjah shooting club. these are drive through test centers. Will update other centers details shortly (for other emirates)
DPI Laser Test
The new test system is introduced by Abu Dhabi few days ago its called Laster / DPI Test. It can be perform near Near Shai Shaib police station. Exit 403 towards al fay truck road after "Last Exit" dubai to abu dhabi road.
You should book an online appointment before going there other wise they will not allow to enter inside and perform test. Use below link to book appointment for DPI / Laster test for Abu Dhabi Entry. Emirates ID is mandatory for booking as well as Test Center

They charges for DPI Test is 50 AED and payment must be by credit card So bring your credit card or ask someone to support you there.
This test is valid for 48 hours. security officer has rights to approve or reject (not sure about this). this test is not replacement of covid 19 test. its just for abu dhabi entry.
Steps to perform DPI / Laster test for abu dhabi entry
Book Appointment
Use the link https://ghantoot.quantlase.com/appointment/update-details/ to book online appointment for DPI test. Each individual should be book under 12 kids are free to go without test. This onine registration for DPI Test needs Emirates ID.
After booking the test take the print out or snap shot which you need to show to enter the test center
Reach to Location
Reach to the DPI Test center location try to reach before time of test but if you are late for 20/30 minutes It will be OK (its not official i just notice that)
The location is, Take Exit 403 (going from dubai to abu dhabi after exit of "Last Exit") and follow the road until you reach the Round About take first exit from this round about and go straight and take U-turn. You will see some tents there.
At the Round About police is checking valid appointment. So bring it as an snapshot in mobile or take print out for each individual you booked via link above.

Perform DPI Laser Test
Park you car and go to the tent and follow the instructions. You need to show the Emirates ID for registration there and pay by Credit Card only. So if you do not have credit card ask someone there to support you
families and ladies have separate queue.
After registration you will get a paper from them, now go to the next tent/place to perform test. You need to give a dot of your blood.
Go to next counter with the paper and they will stamp the result. If result is not good don't worry. you need to perform PCR test if the result is not OK (as it may happen for some cases)
Enter to Abu Dhabi
Now drive to abu dhabi ganghot border and show this test result there. Remember it is valid for the same day only. There might be traffic near abu dhabi border as they are checking each car, so plan your trip timings accordingly.
Kids under 12 are free to go inside abu dhabi so no test required for them.
