Salt Lake
A cool and calm place in Al Wathba area of Abu Dhabi Emirate. The place is not for water sports or swimming. You may go there and sit relax and enjoy the natural wonderful view of desert with water. You might need a 4X4 to reach the area of this Abu Dhabi Hidden gem or may take small car and park it near by and walk to the Salt Lake.
As per many people its not a Lake but a SABKHA in Arabic. No matter what is that but you will enjoy the natural view and peace of that area.
Abu Dhabi heritage village
A Family friendly spot with full of culture's color of emirates. There a many shops as well where you can buy spices, herbs , hand made soap and other cultural things of Emirate of Abu Dhabi. There are many workshops as well where the expert shows their skills of making old way of making things by hand. Go take a look this hidden gems of Abu Dhabi (not so hidden). Falcon hospital Abu Dhabi
It an hospital for animals not only for Falcons but other animals as well. You may go there and visit a lot of falcons but there are some charges for that. This hidden gem of Abu Dhabi is near by Al Shamkha area near the Abu Dhabi International Airport - Sweihan Rd St - Abu Dhabi. A good place for animal and animal lovers, shelter home for Animals run under. Pay a visit if you would like to see animals and birds
Sir Bani Yas Island
Looking for something different ? try Sir Bani yas Island, a Ferry travel, a jungle safari and life in an island hopefully visiting this hidden gem of abu dhabi will be in your memory for longer time. Better to book this with any travel / tour agency to enjoy hassle free tour of this great area of Abu Dhabi. Depends on package you may enjoy full or half day tour there. pack you bag with mix dresses like swimming , walking, shoes, flipflop and the Island.
Al Mrifa Beach
Enjoy the long drive come out from the city area and enjoy the calm and peaceful environment. The beach is wide and good. Green area , kids play area are there as well. Take your tent and enjoy the view and swimming in blue water. There is a corniche area as well near by You can buy fish from Fish Market. Some fishing spot is also there in this hidden gem of Abu Dhabi.
Fossil dunes Abu Dhabi
It is an off road trip so please check your vehicle before going there. A worthy visit to see the natural structure of desert and small hills (I dont know what to call that hills or some thing else). A good Hidden gem of abu dhbai for taking snaps , enjoy the natural view. There are no facilities near by so be prepared while going there. You may spend one or two hours there. Please respect the nature and do not liter at this area.
Al Wathba Desert
Visit and enjoy the natural desert in Abu Dhabi near Al Wathba Area. Take you barbeque kit , Tent and fire woods to enjoy the desert life and desert night inside this hidden gem of Abu Dhabi. Better to go with 4X4 Car. You can do over night camping there. Please keep the natural place clean and properly trash the waste. Respect the nature. Hmmmm no washrooms and other facilities near by so be prepare before going there with family and children.
