Cruise along the Palm Jumeriah
Either you could rent a fancy yacht or ride the RTA marine transport and cruise along the Palm Jumeriah and the Dubai creek as the night sky lights up with the incredible fireworks
Rooftop restaurants
Any rooftop restaurant/hotels in the main areas down town dubai, especially in the business district
Al Khail Road
Nice view and less trafic if you are comming from Sharjah / Ajman.
Emirates by pass road
Another view with less noise and trafic but far away from the spot
Dubai Media city
Enjoy from office if you have any friend their who can invite you
Zabeel Park
park you car take RTA bus and come closer to Burj Khalifa

Lazy enough, you could skip the madness, sit at home, invite your family and friends over, and watch the Burj Khalifa show live on youtube (www.youtube.com/DowntownDubai).
